Logline:
In 1950's Las Vegas, a new FBI agent gets moved off the case against the mafia - only to find out that he's related to them and needs their help to stop a serial killer.
The story:
FBI Agent Marcus is ambitious and conservative. He's assigned to move his family to Las Vegas, Nevada. He's quickly kicked off the case against the mafia, even though he thinks he should be on it.
When placed on an investigation of certain murders in Las Vegas, he quickly realizes they are connected but can offer nothing beyond circumstantial evidence.
He's a good kid. Attends church with his family. has begun a hobby of doing genealogical research.
He pursues leads in his case and in his family tree.
One, uncle Nunzio, it turns out was connected to a branch of his family that's still alive an kicking, right here in Las Vegas. It becomes obvious that his newly found distant family is part of the same mafia he was trying to bust.
Meanwhile, it becomes dangerously obvious that a certain MacHeath of Las Vegas is back in town and coincides with the murders of multiple women.

When Louie Miller disappears, the suspect MacHeath begins spending loads of cash. Marcus connects the dots when it turns out Miller's bank account has been drained.
MArcus has to choose between waiting for appropriate evidence and stopping the murders - and he realizes he has one connection that can help.
