The overview Effect
LOGLINE:
SAVE OUR WORLD - BY SEEING IT

Listen to the Music composed by Lorenzo Emanuel for the film:
Synopsis:
based on the frequently reported influence astronauts describe when seeing the earth from space, a cognitive shift in world view.
Stephanie is a new astronaut on a mission in space.
She finds herself "let in" on something that only the other astronauts know about. Peering back at earth, home suddenly seems different, more fragile, boarders between nations are only on maps, all worldly disagreements appear to be nothing.
This planet is all we have.
She becomes friends, the only thing they are allowed to be, with PHilip, an astronaut also on his first mission. They realize they are a part of something bigger than themselves in the same cause to take steps forward in humanity's progress. But during an arduous part of the mission circling the dark side of the moon, Philip finds himself only looking forward to the next time he sees Stephanie. He knows he should focus, but she is the only person he wants to see or talk to.
Owing to the responsibility to focus on his part of the overall mission, he requests a change and joins another isolated team to avoid his feelings.
Once the mission is over, The former astronauts find themselves unable to return to normal life or relate to the common concerns their family and colleagues have.
While finding their old way of life difficult to return to, They turn to each other, friends from another world, to empathize and console. Their passion for potential prospects in life and future builds each time they talk. phone conversations easily become five hours long. From their two sides of the country, They join forces in an EFFORT uncover what happened to them and search the possibilities of whether it could happen to others.
Pithy political disagreements, and especially war, have become heartbreakingly irrelevant compared to what they realized the world needs. As the public is told that national priorities need to change, any pursuit to space is falling off the radar, along with their dreams to share what they had. They struggle to find a way to convince world leaders that the benefit of our journey off this world is also in the journey itself. They urge government to pursue space travel in order to unify - and ultimately save - our planet, by changing their perspective on the now and on the future.
Trusting a still, small voice, the Two astronauts find themselves bound together by the unique experience in a way they never expected.

A NOTE:
most movies that get made have a "sizzle" reel to show what the tone and style of the movie will look like.
This one is a little different. We leverage feelings of nostalgia and adventure, mixed with romance and urgency by borrowing a trailer soundtrack from "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."
turns it into a trailer utilizing what others would call coincidentally appropriate stock footage that just happened to be available.

To Us, this is not a coincidence.

The MArketplace:
Films about INTERPERSONAL DRAMA IN SPACE AND WAR ALWAYS include protagonists that experience something otherworldly.
