In 1979, Disney & Universal filed a lawsuit aiming to make VCRs illegal CLAIMING COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT.
Now in the dawn of Generative A.I., we too must ask ourselves if now is the time to get on board.
The harder question is whether or not we love telling stories more than the histoical craft of telling stories.
I approach (along with the companies that I have worked with) generative A.I. as a workflow participant rather than a competitor. Nothing will ever replace the joy of directing the human performance of acting, but as someone steeped in the visual effects industry and formerly known for the unique skillset, I foresee a more ethical use in AI-assisted VFX and LOCATiON REPLACEMENT.
Whether that has an impact on individuals' being more active in the control of their lives in a healthy way, has still yet to be seen. The following are experiments using various tools to generate images and video.
