Case Study: The Modular Performance Engine
Role: Performance Creative Director & Content Strategist
The Business Problem: The company needed to launch a flagship software product on an extremely tight turnaround, but we were reliant on a remote, non-media-trained software engineer in Germany for the hero on-camera delivery. Additionally, the broader digital advertising strategy lacked a repeatable, data-driven framework, making it difficult to scale ad spend and sustain conversions for premium, high-ticket products.
The Creative Strategy & Stakeholder Buy-In: I had to win trust on two fronts. First, I convinced skeptical internal stakeholders that I could remotely direct our technical engineer and elevate his raw footage to broadcast quality. Second, I pitched a modular, data-driven ad strategy to the SEO and media buying teams—inspired by top-tier DTC viral frameworks—securing their buy-in to completely restructure how we wrote, tested, and scaled our ad copy.
The Scalable Execution:
Remote Production Protocol: I stepped in to direct the engineer remotely, providing a clear, actionable protocol for lighting, wardrobe, lavalier mic placement, and vocal performance. I transformed an initially unusable, whispered take into a confident, polished asset that met our aggressive launch deadline.
AI-Enabled Scripting Matrix: I replaced static script documents with an AI-iterated spreadsheet matrix. By using AI to generate multiple hook iterations in rows and columns, we could digitally drag, drop, and rearrange modular ad components on the fly.
Agile Iteration: I executed the core editing and production myself to minimize outsourcing. When the initial ads began to show audience fatigue, I spearheaded a strategy to remix the highest-performing intro hooks into a new composite campaign, keeping the creative highly optimized without requiring a new shoot.
The ROI & Impact:
The initial modular campaign drove a massive 5x ROAS, successfully driving cold digital traffic to purchase some of the company's most expensive flagship products.
The agile re-edit strategy extended the campaign's lifespan and protected the overall media investment.
The Enterprise Shift: The success of this initiative inspired cross-functional teams to adopt this framework permanently, establishing a new internal production machine at Boris FX dedicated to creating these simple, highly effective modular ad campaigns.
